I can’t believe I forgot to blog this! I have been absolutely LOVING the images from a shoot I did a few weeks ago. Miss K’s mom emailed me a couple of months ago because K has decided to get into modeling and acting. She needed some portfolio images for her agent, and since I have done several sessions with her family, they asked for my advice.
I am asked all the time about how to get into modeling, and what one needs to do for portfolio images. And what I tell anyone who asks is this – you honestly do not need to hire a professional photographer to get images for a portfolio. Most legitimate agents should be able to tell if you are marketable just by looking at a snapshot and interviewing you. And once signed with an agency, you build your portfolio with images from the jobs that you receive.
However, there are some situations where nicer images are desired for something like a comp card or a head shot, and in this case K’s agent wanted to get some different looks for a comp card and online profile. I am so thankful and blessed that the A family trusted me once again to capture such important images. And, I am sooo thankful that I get to work with such stunning beauty every day. I truly have the most amazing, nice, wonderful and beautiful clients!!
The last time I worked with Miss K, she was only 11. At the time I was already talking to her about her senior portraits! I couldn’t keep it in my head that it would be another 6+ years before she was ready for that! lol!
Even now, at a mere 13 years old, she is absolutely stunning and looks older and wiser than her age. There is so much behind her eyes – the looks she gave me were amazing. And with those wonderful, full lips, she made for a breathtaking subject.
I love the texture I used on this one.
{Hey K! Look over there at your mom!} 😉
{Now walk, look in the store, walk, walk, walk, you are window shopping and you hear your best friend calling you from behind. Turn and look at her!}
Oh how I love the sun coming in from behind!!! The light rimming K is so yummy. Many thanks to the amazing Jen Barnes for assisting me throughout the session and for holding the reflector just right with this one!
A little emotional turmoil in this one. That or I have worked her too hard and she is about to fall asleep… 😉 Nah, she’s definitely got the emo thing going on there.
STUNNING!
Miss K, you are simply amazing! Thank you for letting me drag you all over downtown and for making my job so easy! I wish you the very best in your modeling endeavors.
Please share this post with your friends! There is a handy dandy little linky bar down below that makes it easy.
